John Evans, the Creative Director of TradeNext Limited, has parted ways with the UK broker to step into a new role at Citypoint Trading Limited as its newest Marketing Director, Finance Magnates has learned.
Citypoint Trading is a UK-based foreign exchange (FX) and contracts-for-difference (CFDs) provider that is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
In his new role at Citypoint Trading, Mr. Evans will be responsible for the continued development of the group’s brand and company values. Moreover, he will be consolidating and fostering marketing channels and activity. His new role is tendered with immediate effect.

Prior to joining Citypoint Trading, Mr. Evans worked at TradeNext Limited for nearly two years as its creative director. Additionally, he has held several roles at many FX companies in the area of design, branding and development. This includes stops at Every Investor, ForexTrading.TV, Abshire-Smith, FXdirekt Bank, Easy Forex, and One Financial Markets, among others.
Earlier this year, Mr. Evans spoke with Finance Magnates about his perspective and rationale regarding the prevalence of football sponsorships as well as their subsequent popularity with FX brokers and other financial service providers.
“One of the most important aspects of any sponsorship deal is that spending does not stop at the sponsorship. Additional costs need to be assigned to properly exploit the sponsorship. That’s the mistake many make, they assume the sponsorship deal in itself will draw more awareness or sales,” noted Mr. Evans in the interview with Finance Magnates earlier this year.
