Multi-Asset trading technology provider Dash Financial Technologies has announced its latest hire, this time bringing in hedge fund veteran Robert Boylan, who will join the group as its newest Managing Director, Business Development.

The London Summit 2017 is coming, get involved!

In his new role Mr. Boylan will be based out of the group’s New York office, and he begins imediately. He will be responsible for developing the group’s business across both its buy- and sell-side client bases. He brings over twenty-five years of experience to the role, having worked in multiple sectors such as sales, equities, and product management, among others.

Veteran Appointment

Prior to joining Dash Financial Technologies, Mr. Boylan worked at Goldman Sachs in its equities unit. While there he took on a variety of roles over a seven-year period, for example leading the lender’s Electronic Trading hedge fund sales team and Broker Dealer & International Electronic Institutional sales group.

In addition to his time at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Boylan worked at Credit Suisse for over five years as a director, focusing on its commission management sales group as well as a position co-heading its Advanced Execution Services (AES) sales team for broker-dealers.

The bulk of his career has been dedicated to Bloomberg, where he has worked in several senior roles, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile. He has managed its Sell-side Execution and Order Management Solutions (SSEOMS), Fixed Income Trading and Equities Order Routing platforms. His expertise across such a diverse set of roles and business segments will help him in his new role, which will necessitate a versatile focus across both the buy- and sell-side.

Peter Maragos, CEO of Dash Financial Technologies, noted: "Bob is extremely respected across the industry and we're obviously very excited to welcome him to the team. Between his experience in the trading technology space and the deep relationships he possesses, Bob will be invaluable as we work to continue building our business by bringing our advanced, multi-asset execution, workflow and transparency tools to both the buy and sell sides."

"The pressures currently facing both the buy and sell sides are well known, but today's innovative new technologies offer trading desks the tools they need to deliver real value to their firms. I've watched Dash become one of this industry's truly disruptive forces over the last half dozen years by providing institutions a level of transparency, control and service that is unlike any other. I couldn't be happier to join Dash at such an exciting time for the firm and I look forward to helping grow the impressive business that's been created,” explained Mr. Boylan.

Mr. Boylan’s appointment follows another important hire at Dash Financial Technologies back in April, when the group secured the services of Ari House as Chief Financial Officer. The combination of Mr. House and Mr. Boylan round out a new cadre of leadership at the technology provider as it heads into H2 2017.
