Go Markets acquired by AIP Global Holdings

Another sign for the boiling Australian forex market: first major broker to be acquired is also Australia's largest - Go Markets. According to our survey Go Markets had about $25 billion monthly average in trading volume.

The Board of AIP Global Holdings Limited is pleased to announce that the Company has entered into an agreement with My First Investments Limited ("MFIL") to acquire a controlling interest in Australian-based GO Markets Pty Limited ("GO Markets"), a leading online financial services business headquartered in Melbourne, Australia (the "Transaction").

The Transaction also gives AIP Global majority seats on the Board of GO Markets, which will be taken up by AIP Global Chief Executive Officer Yuhi Horiguchi. The Acquisition is a strategic investment intended simultaneously to broaden AIP Global's exposure to high-growth financial service companies and to provide GO Markets with broader access to growth capital from institutional investors for further expansion into overseas markets.

GO Markets is a multi award-winning (AFR Smart Investor Blue Ribbon Award 2009, 2010 & 2011, IB Times Best Forex Broker Australia 2011) Australian registered company (AFSL licence number 254963) providing online-based financial services to an extensive client base in Australia and overseas. Headquartered in Melbourne, GO Markets offers regulated financial services including Margin FX, Securities and Derivatives.

AIP Global Chief Executive Officer Yuhi Horiguchi commented, "Based in Melbourne, GO Markets taps into a wide network of retail investors. The GO brand will allow huge opportunities to attract a broader client base predominantly in Europe and Asia. In turn, we anticipate that AIP Global's capital raising capabilities will assist GO Markets to extend its own expansion into an overseas financial services market still undergoing rapid development."

AIP Global's investment strategy is to provide shareholders with an attractive return on their investment through capital appreciation, by investing in financial services businesses worldwide which the Directors believe are likely to achieve a trade sale or an IPO.

Established in 2002, Alternative Investment Partners ("AIP") is a full-service global investment banking and securities firm headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, offering fund distribution services and a wide range of sophisticated, value-added investment banking services to institutional investors and middle market companies worldwide.
