Cyprus-headquartered broker, Tixee has inked a sports sponsorship deal with the local football club, Apollon Limassol FC for the playing seasons 2022 until 2024.

Announced on Monday, the deal is going to put Tixee’s branding on the front left side of the official kit short of the Cypriot football club.

“It’s a pleasure to join forces with an organization that shares our values of teamwork, dedication and responsibility. Just as we empower our customers, we also believe in empowering our community, and we’re proud to support a club that aligns with this principle,” said Tixee’s Chief Executive Officer, Stavros Ioannides.

“We look forward to building our relationship with Apollon FC, as well as raising Tixee’s brand awareness throughout the island and beyond.”

Brokers and Sports

Tixee offers retail trading services with currency pairs and contracts for differences of other popular asset classes. The broker is operating within the European Union with a Cypriot license but is also regulated in Seychelles and South Africa.

The sports sponsorship has been inked clearly to raise the brand awareness of the broker within the Mediterranean island.
Apollon Limassol FC is a major sports club in the commercial capital of Cyprus. It was established in 1954 and won multiple domestic titles. In addition, it entered the larger European tournament, the Champions League a few times.

“Tixee is one of the most successful companies in the trading industry, and we are positive that our partnership and collaboration between the two organizations will be beneficial for both,” said George Georgiades, Apollon’s Sales and Development Manager.

Meanwhile, sports sponsorships have been one of the most-desired marketing channels for brokers. Companies like eToro and IC Markets are sponsoring dozens of football clubs in Europe to raise awareness about their brands.
