Cypriot based retail foreign exchange broker FXPRIMUS has launched a new marketing campaign entitled 'Meet Your Heroes' which gives traders and brokerage customers an opportunity to meet with the Manchester City FC (MCFC) players. Anyone can take part in the prize draw to meet the first team in their official training center, City Football Academy.

It is worth recalling that in 2015 FXPRIMUS signed a multi-year partnership contract with Manchester City worth $2 million a year. The agreement allows the use of the club’s marketing channels to promote the brand, including a presence across the team’s digital channels. FXPRIMUS is also a regular presence at MCFC’s Etihad Stadium.

The recently announced contest, carried out via the MCFCheroes.com website, is directed to all football lovers who would like to meet their favorite footballers face-to-face. FXPRIMUS points out that previously no other broker has prepared such a marketing event in the foreign exchange industry.

Contracts and deals with the athletes and sports teams are becoming more and more popular among FX and binary options firms. This is an interesting way to interact with the fans for marketing purposes, build brand awareness and acquire new clients. A month ago, Finance Magnates reported on the binary brokerage IQ Option signing a sponsorship agreement with Aston Martin Racing. IQ Option stated, that it wanted to associate itself with reliability and speed, equating its Trading Platform with Aston Martin’s high quality cars.

As reported by the CEO and director of FXPRIMUS, Terry Thompson, in a recent statement: "With this campaign, we plan to gently introduce the world of safe trading to new target markets whilst simultaneously incentivizing them with a quite remarkable prize that is yet to be offered to Forex traders, notwithstanding the large numbers of football sponsorships within the industry.”

Traders and football fans wishing to take part in the Meet Your Heroes campaign have to choose one of the MCFC’s players and register to the prize-draw. FXPRIMUS will select 5 lucky winners who will be able to meet with the team and personally talk with their chosen player. The results will be published on April 13, 2016.

Another example of the FX industry promotion through sports is an agreement between Insta Forex and Italian football club Palermo, about which Finance Magnates wrote a few months ago. The partnership deal was signed for two years and involves the use of the club’s marketing materials to advertise the brokerage’s offering.
