The football sponsorship aspirations of online brokers do not seem to end – Instaforex has become the latest addition to the numbers of forex and binary options brokers looking to boost their brand. The deal is with U.S. Città di Palermo, which is currently holding 13th spot in the Italian Serie A league with 11 points in 10 games.
The deal has been signed for a term of two years and will permit the forex and CFDs brokerage to use marketing materials associated with the football club online. Aside from that, the company will gain exposure on LED billboards, hospitality materials and tickets when Palermo is playing on home turf at Stadio Renzo Barbera.
Commenting on the announcement, the executive manager of Palermo, Angelo Baieuera, said: “Attracting the interest of companies operating internationally and in sectors not traditionally linked with football is a clear indication that our club is gaining stronger visibility and interest abroad.”

While the international fan base of Palermo is hardly one of the biggest, Instaforex is aiming to build up its brand profile at a time when a number of other brokers in the industry have been employing similar tactics.
The deal was brokered by Sports Media Gaming. The company’s CEO and founder Stephen Pearson said: “This partnership shows that Serie A is proving as appealing as the UK Premier League for brands seeking global presence in football. This is the 3rd of 4 deals we have brokered in Italy including 24option with Juventus and GKFX with AC Milan.”
