Samtrade FX, an online forex and CFDs trading platform, is sponsoring English football club Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, popularly known as Wolves, for the upcoming 2020-21 season.
Announced on Thursday, the brokerage has become the club’s official forex and online trading partner.
According to the partnership between the two, Samtrade FX’s branding and logo will be featured on the club’s press conference backdrop, LED boards, and also on the club’s official app.
“Our ethos is centered around partnering with ambitious companies who share our challenger vision for global brand growth,” Russell Jones, Wolves general manager for marketing & commercial growth, said in a statement. “As an award-winning FX company with significant market share in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and China, Samtrade FX [is] a perfect fit.
“In return, Samtrade FX will utilize the club’s digital assets to expand [its] reach into Europe.”

Established in 2015, Samtrade FX offers trading services on the MetaTrader 4 platform. The brokerage recently gained licenses from the regulators in the United Kingdom and Australia as it is eying for the expansion of its operations.
In addition to the Wolves partnership, the brokerage also signed a two-year sponsorship deal with Cardiff City FC, another English football club.
While Cardiff will play in England’s second-tier football league, Wolves finished seventh in the 2019-20 English Premier League season and will continue playing in the top league.
