eToro completed another financing round just now. eToro’s latest round was in January 2011 when it raised $8.3 million from Spark Capital (and others) and simultaneously launched their Gurus program (called Market Leaders back then).
eToro’s OpenBook is a pretty popular forex social trading platform however eToro faces an increasing competition with many other networks trying to tap into this market. eToro lately soft launched MT4 to accompany its own platform and cater to the clientele who specifically demands this solution.

Yes Curensee, is probably the first one to go , these guys will make sure they take the brokers leads , re market them to other brokers , So if you really want to know what Curensee is , its called a glorified “PAMM”
For Etoro , they have somewhat of a business model as they are a broker/dealer and have their platform. So I wouldn’t count them out just yet , however as with any private equity investment in this market ( IBFX) usually deals end up going sour in the long run unless there are some decent gains..

Why do they still need external funding? IF they are as successful as they claim to be … why do they need to keep bringing in investors? Any proper broker… Read more »

What I’d like to know is what did they do with the first round of $8m !! I don’t believe that can be accounted for in their Dev since they already have their tech team and marketing has not changed (from what I see) over the last year, they just have more emphasis on openbook..
so where is $8m and why aren’t the VC’s concerned that an established company has burnt that amount of money so quick with no return.
