TradeLocker has added another experienced expert to its leadership ranks, appointing Alex Skolar as Chief Product Officer. Skolar is joining the trading technology firm from the London-based Velexa, part of EXANTE, where he served in the same capacity.

A Veteran of Trading Technology

Based in London, Skolar brings nearly thirty years of experience from other top brands in the industry. At ThinkMakets, he was the Head of Product and Platform Management based in London.

He also had a stint at Saxo Bank as the Director and Platform Manager for SaxTraderPRO in Denmark. Skolar was also the Chief Product Officer at Tradeteq, a trading technology role focusing on trade finance.

He has also worked for top global brands, with nearly seven years dedicated to Thomson Reuters. Skolar worked in the firm as the Director of Equity Transactions in Eikon, having joined as the Head of Trading Product Management.

Roles in the London Stock Exchange, Merrill Lynch

Other experiences include Product Manager role at the London Stock Exchange, and as the Product Controller in Emerging Markets at Merrill Lynch.

With Skolar now leading its product division, TradeLocker appears to be doubling down on platform functionality and user experience—areas where his past experience could prove decisive.

In July, fintech investment firm Deus X Capital appointed Dom Bradley as the new CEO of TradeLocker. TradeLocker serves as the group’s trading platform provider, catering to online brokers and proprietary trading firms.

As a portfolio company within the Deus X Capital ecosystem, TradeLocker benefits from the group’s backing and broader strategic expertise in fintech and digital assets.

Bradley has a strong technical background to the role, having spent more than six years at IG Group, where he served as Regional CTO and Head of Client Platform Technology.

He joined Deus X Capital earlier in 2023 as CTO of its Broker-as-a-Service subsidiary, Deus X Markets, before stepping into the top role at TradeLocker.
