Guru Capital Closes Acquisition of ETX Cyprus

Swiss private equity firm, Guru Capital, has completed the acquisition of Cyprus-based Monecor (Europe) Ltd, better known as ETX Cyprus, after receiving approval from the Cypriot regulator, the companies announced on Monday.
The latest acquisition followed Guru Capital’s purchase of the London-headquartered financial spread-betting and contracts-for-difference (CFDs) provider, ETX Capital, which was closed last October. The fresh deal shows the new owner’s ambition to expand the London-based brand in new markets.
European Expansion In Line

ETX Cyprus will be the headquarters of the brand’s European operations, and it will start onboarding clients within weeks.

Finance Magnates earlier reported that the trading revenue of ETX Capital surged by 49 percent in the first eleven months of 2020, when compared to the same period last year.
