eToro, a multi-asset investment platform, announced this Thursday that it has significantly expanded its football sports sponsorships, by launching twelve new sponsorship deals with football clubs across the United Kingdom and Germany.

The launch of the new sponsorships is part of the trading provider’s plan to expand its investment in football clubs across Europe. Already, eToro is one of Europe’s biggest football club sponsors, especially in the foreign exchange (Forex ) trading space.

eToro Adds West Bromwich Albion and Burnley to UK Sponsorships

Under the expansion, eToro will be extending its UK Premier League partnerships with Crystal Palace, Everton, Leicester City and Southampton. Further, the trading company will be adding West Bromwich Albion and Burnley to the mix.

Moving over to Germany, the trading provider has extended its existing partnership with Eintracht Frankfurt and expanded its portfolio to include FC Augsburg, 1. FC Cologne, Hamburger SV (Bundesliga 2), Union Berlin and Vfl Wolfsburg.

According to the company’s statement, seen by Finance Magnates, the new Premier League and Bundesliga sponsorships were negotiated by SportQuake, a specialist sports agency. The new partnerships give eToro global exposure through marketing opportunities. These range from matchday LED boards, 'money can’t buy experiences', VIP tickets and digital rights.

Commenting on the sports sponsorships, Dylan Holman, Global Sponsorship, Senior Manager at eToro said in the statement: ‘“As a leading investment platform with over fourteen million users, we believe sponsorships are a powerful tool that help build and reinforce eToro as a world class brand.

“We will be working with clubs to make the financial markets more accessible than ever, using our partnerships to help bring fans closer to the action and educating them on investing.”

The new sponsorships announced today are in addition to eToro’s existing sponsorships across Europe. As Finance Magnates reported, in August eToro partnered with the European football club, AS Monaco.

As part of this collaboration, the football team will put eToro’s logo on the left sleeve of the AS Monaco Esports jersey. eToro also sponsors Danish team FC Midtjylland.
