SWIFT, a global provider of financial messaging services, has just unveiled its latest publication, which outlines a series of SWIFTSmart eLearning modules, part of its Customer Security Programme that it has implemented for the past several months, according to a SWIFT statement.

SWIFT has recently been taking the lead on multiple security education and awareness protocols – the group has in recent months launched a cyber task force as well as a new campaign to promote cyber security. Back in May 2016, the group also launched its Customer Security Programme, engendering part of this agenda.
In a bid to help promote security and transparency for SWIFT customers, the group has now introduced a total of sixty new eLearning modules and ‘how to’ videos, which can be accessed with a MySWIFT login. The series will aim to help promote the most secure environment for all SWIFT users, given the recent uptick in cyber threats facing banks and venues in 2016.
Moreover, the new eLearning modules are also an integral component of SWIFTSmart, which acts as a medium to increasing security awareness, which will eventually be extended to all SWIFT members by year end. SWIFTSmart acts an interactive, cloud-based service thereby providing a full array of online courses, ranging from basic introductions to SWIFT to advanced instructions on payment systems.
