The brokerage subsidiary of Swissquote Bank has announced that the company will extend its partnership with UK football club Manchester United. Swissquote has been authorized to offer its services in the European Union via a license from the UK’s financial regulatory watchdog, the FCA.

The Swiss brokerage house is going to extend its presence on the football pitch of Manchester United, the Old Trafford stadium. Swissquote will get additional exposure on the LEDs right next to the football field during Barclays Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup home games.

According to the official contract between the companies the brokerage is the Official Global Forex & Online Financial Trading Partner. The company’s logo will also be displayed on the backdrops during post-match interviews.

The club and the brokerage will engage in some games and experiences to cater to football and trading fans including hospitality tickets, training sessions visits and travels with the team on away European games.

Crucially for the broker’s digital marketing strategy, Swissquote and Manchester United will be engaging fans on social media via members of the Red Devils squad throughout the season. With over 68 million likes on the football club’s page, the message of Swissquote can reach a vastly diverse and global audience.

The Chief Executive and co-founder of Swissquote Marc Burki commented on the announcement: “The new deal reflects the ongoing success in the development of our global brand, particularly in our key markets of the Middle-East and Asia. So far our partnership has seen us offer fans engaging content with their favourite United stars, highlighting the parallels between the worlds of football and Forex Trading .”
