EuropeFX Secures Sponsorship Deal with German Football Club Hertha Berlin

EuropeFX will serve as the team’s new premium partner and benefit from a branding presence on various surfaces.

CySEC-regulated FX broker EuropeFX has entered into a new sports partnership with German Bundesliga football club Hertha Berlin. The one-year deal will run through the 2018-19 season and will allow EuropeFX to enjoy significant amounts of brand exposure and fan engagement opportunities across the region.

The sponsorship agreement was brokered by Lagardère Sports and includes a presence on official club advertising materials and joint digital campaigns. By adopting the German tournament logo across its marketing platforms, the Cyprus-based broker will be able to enhance its brand profile.

Founded in 1892, Hertha BSC is a founding member of the German Football Association and won the German championship in 1930 and 1931. The club is known as Die Alte Dame in German, which translates to “The Old Lady.”

EuropeFX will serve as the team’s new premium partner and benefit from a branding presence on various surfaces inside the club’s stadium.

Just two months ago, social trading platform eToro signed a partnership with another German football, Eintracht Frankfurt. At the time, the global brokerage firm said its German clients account for around 17 percent of the worldwide eToro community, making them the second largest group after the United Kingdom.

Sponsorship Deals

Sponsorship agreements have long been a way for businesses to extend their global reach. In recent months, there have been numerous sponsorship deals connected with lower-profile sports, including chess and e-sports.

These deals are also more standard sponsorship deals with more widely followed sports, such as football and rugby.

As previously analyzed by Finance Magnates, there is a direct correlation between the target markets of sports organizations and clubs, and FX and CFD brokers. The ROI achieved from such partnerships appear to induce a lucrative ROI for global brokers.
