Société Générale Onboards Tom Gillie to Bolster FX Team
- Tom Gillie will be heading the company’s FX options and spot FX trading.

French bank Société Générale has just appointed Tom Gillie as Head of FX Options and FX Spot Trading. He will be based out of London and joins the company at a time of extended expansion of the French bank’s foreign exchange team.
Gillie joins after Société Générale has already hired several key sales and trading staff recently. Back in August, the French bank got Ben Rosswick and Julio Castro Zuazo from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Gillie also served as a Non-Executive Director at CLS Group between 2012 and 2016. Most recently he’s been the Global Head of FX Trading and Head of EMEA Equity Trading at Bank of America in New York, Hong Kong and London.
