Laurence Willows has left IG Group and tastytrade after nearly seven years with the companies, according to a LinkedIn post published today.

Willows wrote that he had “moved on from IG / tastytrade this summer” after “7 amazing years” with the businesses. “It’s been a pleasure working alongside so many talented people,” he added.

His departure comes as tastytrade continues to develop its crypto business. IG Digital Assets Head Leaves tastytrade

Willows’ most recent role was Head of Business Development, Digital Assets, US, which he held for just over three years. He focused on tastytrade’s US crypto business and the development of tastycrypto, a self-custody wallet.

Willows said his work included “tastytrade’s crypto offering, and the build of tastycrypto.”

From Internal Audit to Digital Assets

Willows joined IG Group as an Internal Audit Associate in Greater London and spent nearly two years in the role before becoming an Internal Audit Senior Associate, a position he held for about a year and a half.

He then moved into the group’s digital assets business as Business Manager, Digital Assets, spending seven months in the role.

Willows subsequently became Head of Business Development, Digital Assets, US, where he spent just over three years. His LinkedIn profile lists the role at both IG Group and tastytrade. Willows has not disclosed his next role or professional plans.
