Exclusive: Former BDSwiss CMO Achilleas Achilleos Joins Alchemy Markets

Achilleas Achilleos, who left the Cyprus offices of BDSwiss during a mass staff exodus last year, has joined Alchemy Markets as Chief Marketing Officer, Finance Magnates has learned exclusively. He took on the new role six months ago, just after leaving BDSwiss.

A Marketing Expert in the Brokerage Industry

Alchemy Markets is a forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker regulated in Seychelles and Malta. Achilleos now brings nearly two decades of marketing experience to the broker.

He previously held a similar role as Chief Marketing Officer at BDSwiss for over two years. Before that, he was a Marketing Executive at Skilling, another FX and CFDs broker. Although he has worked in marketing for a while, he entered the retail trading industry in 2012 when he became Head of Marketing at CommexFX.

He also had a seven-month stint at the Cyprus offices of ForexTime (FXTM) as Creative Director. Other companies he worked at include Impact Tech and Allocated Bullion Exchange.

BDSwiss Executives Joining Other Brokers

Last year, Finance Magnates reported that at least ten BDSwiss employees had left the company, although the actual number turned out to be much higher. A month later, the Cyprus financial markets regulator suspended the license of BDSwiss' Cyprus unit due to non-compliance. However, BDSwiss continued offering liquidity and technology solutions under the Viverno brand with its Cyprus license.

Earlier, Andreas Andreou, who also left BDSwiss around the same time as Achilleos, launched a prop trading firm and later joined INGOT Brokers as Chief Sales Officer. He continues to run his prop brand alongside his role at INGOT. Nicole Heinrich, another former BDSwiss executive, is now the Chief Commercial Officer at Key to Markets.
