London-based broker Valutrades has paused the onboarding of new clients across both its UK- and Seychelles-regulated entities, Finance Magnates has verified. Clarifying the move, CEO Graeme Watkins stated, "I can confirm we are not exiting the global market but are making some changes to the business."

Despite experiencing lower client activity, reduced total trading volumes, and a drop in overall client numbers during 2025, the company recorded top-line financial growth. Annual turnover rose to £2,254,556, up from £1,935,292 the prior year.

Including interest income, Valutrades posted a net loss of £671,705 for the year, a notable improvement compared to the £2,592,536 net loss registered in the preceding financial period.

Facing Financial Difficulties

Originally established as the UK branch of Indonesia-based Monex Investindo Futures, Valutrades has navigated several financial challenges in recent years.

Following cumulative losses exceeding £6 million across 2023 and 2024, the firm secured a £600,000 capital injection in March 2026, building on previous funding rounds.

The move appears to follow industry patterns, as a number of retail brokers have exited the UK market due to increased regulatory and operational costs.
