Liquidnet has expanded its Latin American equities offering, adding execution capabilities for institutional investors trading Brazilian and Mexican equities.
The company said the service combines access to institutional block liquidity with algorithmic execution in the wider market. According to Liquidnet, the approach allows investors to pursue large trades while continuing to execute orders across public markets.
The move comes as Brazil and Mexico continue to attract growing attention from global financial firms. Finance Magnates previously examined why the two countries have become priority expansion markets, citing their economic scale and expanding investor base. Liquidnet's latest move targets institutional equities trading rather than the retail segment.
Liquidnet Expands Brazil, Mexico Execution Capabilities
Liquidnet said members can access block liquidity, region-specific algorithms for Brazil and Mexico, and its Americas high-touch trading desk through a single agency execution model.
Eric Blake, Head of Latin America at Liquidnet, said the offering gives members access to "block liquidity," "customized region-focused algorithms for Brazil and Mexico," and the firm's "Americas high-touch trading desk" within a "non-conflictive agency framework."

Liquidnet said its network includes more than 1,200 institutional counterparties globally. The company added that it operates a single liquidity network instead of relying on external dark pools.
The firm said its global trading desk and local market expertise help clients navigate local market structure, regulatory requirements and liquidity conditions while executing trades across the region.
Investors Eye Latin America, Liquidnet Expands Services
The platform combines block execution, algorithmic trading and high-touch execution services. Liquidnet said the setup is designed to help institutional investors reduce market impact and maintain anonymity when executing large orders.
Alan Polo, Co-Head of Equities Sales and Trading, Americas, said investors continue to look to Latin America "for diversification and growth." He said the expansion supports the company's institutional execution services across the markets where its clients trade.
