CME Group FX Volumes Rise 11% In May
- The CME Group has announced their May volume results. During the month, total average daily volumes (ADV) rose a staggering 26.7% above April’s figures. Volume were led by Interest Rate products where volumes rose 81%

NYSE Euronext & IntercontinentalExchange Shareholders Approve Acquisition
- The IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) and NYSE Euronext (NYSE) both announced that shareholders from the two public firms have approved ICE’s proposed acquisition of NYSE. The voting puts the proposed merger set to close pending final regulatory approvals

FX Volumes Down 20% at the Tokyo Financial Exchange
- Apparently there won’t be any records set in Japan’s FX industry this month. In the first report of May trading volumes, the Tokyo Financial Exchange reported a 20% decline in activity during the month with EUR/JPY & AUD/JPY falling hard

- CFH Markets has announced that it is being renamed to CFH Clearing in order to “more accurately reflect its business operations as an interbank prime of prime solutions provider to small and medium sized institutional clients”

CME Group Volumes Hit All Time High
- The CME Group announced that it had recorded an all-time high for single day volumes last week on May 29th. On the day, 26,947,300 contracts were traded, which surpassed the previous high of 25,734,651 on August 9, 2011.

EBS Spot FX Volumes up in April
- The wholesale FX electronic trading provider saw an increase of 7% MoM and 17% YoY. Average daily volume was at record of $128.3 bn, after a 19% drop in March and a significant jump in February. The company's roller coaster ride seems to continue into midyear.
