Former CLS-Exec, Robert Close, Relinquishes Board Role at ICE

The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has lost executive Robert Close, who stepped down from his role on the group's board.

Robert Close has relinquished his executive board role at the Intercontinental Exchange’s (ICE) (NYSE: ICE), snapping a two-year stint with the European clearinghouse.

Mr. Close formerly served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CLS Group Holdings since 2006, having also functioned as the President and Chief Executive Officer of CLS Bank International over the same timeframe. He originally joined the group back in 2000 as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).

ICE (NYSE: ICE) has already undergone a shakeup in its personnel department, having added two new senior level appointments to its London operations, including Chris Rhodes and Gordon Bennett.

More specifically, Chris Rhodes has been named Head of Interest Rates and Gordon Bennett the Managing Director, Utility Markets, both at ICE Futures Europe respectively.
