Metaquotes takes Xogee to court claiming it hacked its licenses

We wrote about Metaquotes warning and suing several providers who are abusing or using its protocols and technologies without proper authorization few weeks ago. Today Metaquotes made the information public and disclosed to its clients that one of the firms it’s targeting is Xogee. Xogee is a major forex mobile platforms provider offering mobile trading applications such as MT4 iPhone and Android.

Metaquotes states that on March 15th it received a court order prohibiting Xogee from selling products that use the Metatrader 4/5 technology. Metaquotes also claims that despite the order these products are still being sold.

A total of 9 injunctions were imposed on Xogee and 2 its employees including the prohibition of: selling and leasing the iPhone/iPad/Blackberry/Android Trader for MT4, connecting to Metaquotes servers and data centers, recompiling and reverse engineering of Metatrader communication protocols, and more.

There are no details about the next court dates.
