Freedom24 Brings AI Access to Tradernet as ThinkMarkets, cTrader Adopt MCP

Freedom24 has opened its proprietary brokerage infrastructure, Tradernet, to artificial intelligence applications through an integration based on the Model Context Protocol.

The move follows a wider rollout of MCP-based AI access across the trading industry. ThinkMarkets launched an MCP server in June that allows AI clients to execute trades while keeping deposits and withdrawals inaccessible. MetaTrader 5 later added native MCP support for AI agents, covering market data, trading accounts and execution workflows.

Spotware also opened cTrader to AI agents through MCP, providing access to account operations, orders, positions and market data. Capital.com launched an MCP server for MENA clients with a two step confirmation process for AI initiated trades.

The Freedom24 integration allows customers to connect their brokerage accounts to AI tools including Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Through natural language instructions, users can access portfolio information, market quotations and historical data, orders and trade history, reports, and price and event alerts.

"The important development is not simply that an AI can answer a question about a portfolio," said Vitaliy Zvonar, Chief Product Officer at Freedom24. "It is that financial capabilities can increasingly become accessible through intelligent interfaces. We see this as an important step in preparing financial infrastructure for a world in which AI agents become part of how customers interact with financial services."

Part of a European Strategy

The integration fits into Freedom's plans for its financial services infrastructure in Europe. The company is already involved in the process of acquiring a banking licence in Europe, a move that could allow it to expand beyond investment services.

Freedom has also outlined plans for a financial ecosystem around its brokerage business, following the Freedom SuperApp model operated by Freedom Holding Corp. in Kazakhstan, its largest market.

That platform combines banking, payments , investing, insurance, telecommunications, e commerce and other services within a single digital system. As more services are added in Europe, common technology infrastructure could allow them to be connected through different customer interfaces.
