Webull has expanded its AI assistant’s capabilities from research and analysis to preparing trade orders, with user confirmation still required for execution.
The AI assistant runs through Webull’s cloud-based Model Context Protocol server and is available to eligible Webull users in the United States.
What Webull’s AI Assistant Can Do
Users can connect supported AI assistants, including ChatGPT, Claude and Grok, to their Webull accounts. They can then use natural-language instructions to retrieve market data, review balances and positions, check order activity and prepare trades.
The Cloud MCP server supports order instructions for stocks, options, futures, cryptocurrencies and event contracts. It can also prepare multi-leg options strategies and algorithmic orders.
The assistant does not submit an order directly to the market. It creates the instruction and sends it to Webull, where the customer must review and confirm the details through the broker’s app or desktop platform.

Webull hosts the service, so users don't need programming knowledge or locally installed server software. They connect their brokerage account through an OAuth authorisation process and choose which accounts and functions the AI assistant can access.
“Cloud MCP represents another step toward making Webull’s technology available wherever investors choose to engage with AI,” said Jack Keating, CEO of Webull Tech US and Head of Institutional.
“As AI assistants become a more natural part of how people research and make decisions, we’re creating a more seamless way for investors to move from understanding the market to taking action.”
Brokers Expand AI beyond Research
Webull’s update follows a broader expansion of AI functions across brokerage and trading platforms. The tools are moving from market summaries and portfolio analysis toward order preparation, strategy testing and controlled execution.
MetaTrader 5 lets connected AI agents review Strategy Tester reports and start optimisation runs. Binance’s Agent OS goes further by permitting supported trading activity inside restricted sub-accounts with user-defined permissions.
Human approval remains an important boundary as access expands. A recent survey of CMC Markets clients found that 48.6% used AI to support investment decisions, but only 29.4% trusted its market insights.
