New mobile platforms by FxPro and CMC

Joining the trend of everybody going mobile FxPro and CMC just announced the release of their own Blackberry and iPhone platform versions. No doubt the next high growing segment of the retail Forex market is going to be mobile. I believe that tablets such as iPad and various Android powered tablets are going to be more and more popular amongst traders as opposed to smartphones they offer much larger screen which is much more suitable for trading, viewing charts and more.

FxPro was among the first forex brokers to offer mobile trading with its iPhone application and now it expands its offering to the Blackberry phones as well:

FxPro Financial Services Ltd (FxPro), a leading global retail broker in FX and CFDs today announces the launch of its new application the FxPro b Trader for use with BlackBerry smartphones.

Traders wanting to access the FxPro platform for use with BlackBerry smartphones can download the application at fxpro.com. It will initially be available in English, Spanish, Greek and Russian. The FxPro b Trader provides FxPro's clients with instant mobile access to the financial markets, allows them to view their trading portfolio history, and delivers live streaming of the latest market news. The FxPro b Trader's user friendly application delivers confidential and secure trading operations. With a single click of a trackpad or tap of a touch screen, FxPro clients can open, modify and close trades, open and modify pending orders, order confirmation, and use trading charts with 5 different time bands.

FxPro's platform is compatible for use with BlackBerry smartphones using OS 5.0 or later operating systems. It connects either through Wi-Fi or mobile networks and automatically switches to the preferred Wi-Fi network when in range to avoid mobile network charges.

CMC recently launched its new and very attractive platform and the iPhone application shortly follows:

CMC Markets, one of the leading providers of spread betting and CFD trading in the UK has announced the launch of its spread betting app for the iPhone. The spread betting app allows iPhone users access to live prices and the ability to trade on price movements of thousands of global financial instruments including shares, indices, currencies and commodities.

Executive Chairman and founder of CMC Markets, Peter Cruddas, said: "We are not the first company in the industry to launch an iPhone app but without doubt, I believe ours has the highest level of functionality and usability of all the spread betting apps available. Unlike other firms, we haven't just re-tuned our existing platform and website and put in an app. We've taken a different approach. We've built it from the ground up as a fully functional Trading Platform designed specifically for the iPhone."
