Interdealer broker (IDB) Tullett Prebon has continued revamping its executive Compliance team, naming Giles Triffitt as the company’s newest chief risk officer as well as global executive committee.

Following a lengthy respite in personnel moves, Tullett Prebon has been much busier in this regard during February and March. Last month, the company appointed Philip Price as its group general counsel and global head of compliance, as well as Stephen Breslin as the group head of communications.

Mr. Triffitt joins Tullett Prebon from KPMG, following a stint as its head of operational risk, part of a 25-year career in managing risk. Before working at KPMG, Mr. Triffitt was also the head of risk for group operations at RBS.

According to John Phizackerley, Tullett Prebon chief executive in a recent statement on the appointment, “I am delighted that Giles has joined us. His appointment further emphasizes the company’s commitment to the highest levels of Risk Management . Enhanced risk management functions throughout the organization will play an important role as we seek to deliver sustainable, profitable growth over the medium-term.”

“I am very much looking forward to working at Tullett Prebon. Along with the Chief Executive and the rest of the management team, my aim is to ensure that the appropriate risk framework systems and processes are in place to enable the business to accomplish its objectives. Having a ‘best in class’ risk management programme in place should provide the company with an important competitive advantage in the current regulatory environment,” added Mr. Triffitt in an accompanying statement.
