Swedbank Taps Lotta Loven as its Head of Digital Banking

Loven steps into the newly created role of Head of Digital Banking after 9 years with the group.

Swedbank (LSE:SWK), a Nordic-Baltic banking group dealing with retail banking and other asset management services, has named a new appointment to its operations, on-boarding Lotta Loven as its newest head of Digital Banking in a newly created role, according to a Swedbank statement.

In her new role Ms. Loven will be tasked with developing the bank’s digital channels, thereby aiming to increase the group’s rate of innovation. The appointment follows the creation of the group’s digital banking unit in May of 2016, which has since focused on digital development, transformation, and other avenues.

She originally joined Swedbank back in 2007, having since held a number of senior roles with the group. This includes stints as the Head of Marketing Development, Head of Online Banking Development, Head of Digital Innovations and Solutions, Head of Digital Development, and most recently as its Head of Channels, according to information made public on her Linkedin profile.

“Lotta’s solid experience in the area of digital development is a great asset for Swedbank and I am very pleased that we found the best candidate inside the bank. Lotta and her team in Digital Banking now have an important task to continue developing our digital offering in all markets. Their foremost target is more satisfied customers through innovation and development,” noted Birgitte Bonnesen, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Swedbank, in a recent statement on the appointment.
