IS Prime Reinforces Institutional Sales Team with Robert Buxton Hire

Mr. Buxton, who joins the group from Bloomberg Tradebook, will help drive IS Prime’s execution business.

IS Prime, a provider of aggregated liquidity, prime of prime (PoP) capabilities and risk management, has on-boarded Robert Buxton as the newest member of its institutional sales team with immediate effect, Finance Magnates has learned.

Mr. Buxton will be based out of London and will work on driving IS Prime’s execution business. He steps into his new role after garnering a lengthy career in the institutional space, having focused the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, as well as e-FX sales – he joins IS Prime from Bloomberg Tradebook.

While at Tradebook, Mr. Buxton worked for over three years in Bloomberg’s e-FX sales unit, a position he was promoted to in 2013. In addition, he also held other roles at Bloomberg, including a three-year stint as its relationship manager in the UK. In this capacity he was tasked with the planning, development, and execution the group’s strategy. Additional roles at Bloomberg also include time spent in analytics and customer support, dating back to 2008, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.

According to Jonathan Brewer, Managing Partner at IS Prime, in a recent statement on the appointment: “As part of our plan to expand our sales capabilities we wanted to hire someone with a very solid history in acquisition sales with a specific focus on agency e-FX execution.”

“Robert has a strong track record gained at Bloomberg Tradebook and his skill set is highly complementary to our existing sales franchise. Raj and I are very pleased to have him on board,” he added.
