Nandik Barbhaiya Joins The Portfolio Platform as CMO

Nandik Barbhaiya, a well-known marketing executive in the forex brokerage industry, has joined London-based The Portfolio Platform as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). He joined the new company after spending eleven months at Moneyfarm as the Interim CMO.

The Portfolio Platform offers a subscription-based service, allowing retail traders to copy the trading strategies of other expert traders. However, the platform executes the traders on other brokerage platforms.

“We are delighted to have signed a new CMO,” the Co-Founders of The Portfolio Platform, Edward Davies & Lane Clark, said in a joint statement. “His extensive experience in building and growing FinTech businesses to big global brands makes him perfect for the role as we transition from local to multinational. Things have moved even faster than we hoped, but we know that we’ve got the right man for the job to take us to the next level and beyond.”

The appointment came ahead of the company’s plans for crowdfunding . In addition, it aims to accelerate its growth, where Barbhaiya will play a key role.

An Impressive Marketing Career

Barbhaiya is a seasoned marketer with a long career in the trading industry. Most recently, he was at Moneyfarm and handled the M&G plc project. Before that, he was the CMO at now-shuttered ETX Capital, an FX/CFDs broker which rebranded to OvalX. On top of that, he worked at Finixio for eight months as the Vice President of Marketing.

He started his career in 2005 but entered the online marketing space in mid-2009. He debuted in the brokerage space in July 2015 when he joined OANDA as the Global Digital Acquisition Manager. Furthermore, he worked with ForexTime (FXTM) for three years and separated as the broker’s Global Head of Marketing.

“I am very excited to join forces with Lane and Edward at The Portfolio Platform and be part of the TPP journey,” Barbhaiya commented. “They have built a great product over [the] last few years, and it is continuously improving. Their energy and vision around building TPP into a global brand is contagious and the perfect challenge for me to support in their growth.”
