Lee joins HKEX from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) where he spent 25 years of his career. During his long tenure with the regulator, he worked in a number of senior roles in both Hong Kong and New York.
Most recently, Lee was the Division Head of the Banking Policy Department and previously served as the Division Head of Operational and Technology Risk. During the time with the regulator, he was also the Chief Representative of the New York Representative Office, and a Division Head of the Banking Supervision Department.
In addition to his employment experience, Lee has a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Computer Studies, which he received from the University of Hong Kong. He also holds a Masters of Sciences in Information Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
