FastMatch, an online foreign exchange (FX) electronic communications network (ECN), has gained the services of Nick Hamilton, who joins the group as its newest Director of Sales with immediate effect, Finance Magnates has learned.
In his new role as the Director of Sales at FastMatch, Mr. Hamilton will focus on the ECN’s European region, where he will report directly to Paul Ainsworth, FastMatch’s Global Head of Sales – in this capacity he will be based out of London.

Mr. Hamilton joins FastMatch from Citi, following a nearly four-year tenure with the lender. He worked as its Vice President (VP) of eFX Sales, focusing on UK hedge funds, as well as macro hedges, CTAs, and Systematic Funds. Prior to working at Citi, he also held senior level positions at ICAP in the eFX space for three years. In this role he was responsible for high frequency algorithmic buy-side clients within the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region trading on the EBS platform.
The move is the first marquee appointment at FastMatch since the addition of Robert Malin, who also joined the group’s European sales unit, albeit back in early March. Like Mr. Hamilton, Malin also had lengthy experience in the eFX realm, coming over from Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ).
