ADS Makes Two Senior Appointments, Promoting Ryan Lemand and Marcelo Vasques

ADS Securities, a comprehensive provider of foreign Exchange (FX) and contracts-for-difference (CFDs), has made two senior promotions to its executive team, with Ryan Lemand being elevated to the role of Head of Asset Management & Wealth Management, and Marcelo Vasques being named as the group’s Head of Global Markets – Abu Dhabi, according to an ADS statement.

Mr. Lemand originally joined ADS Securities back in September 2015 as its Head of Managed Solutions & Business Development, Asset Management. Mr. Lemand landed at the Abu Dhabi-based financial services firm from Emirates Securities & Commodities Authority, having served as its Head of Risk Management for over seven years. He has also held a number of senior roles at Fortis Investments dating back to 2003.

By extension, Marcelo Vasques also has been with ADS Securities for approximately one year. He originally joined the group as its Head of Credit Trading, whilst being based out of Abu Dhabi. In his new role he will serve as the Head of Global Markets, specializing in the same region.

In their new respective roles, Mr. Vasques will be reporting to Claus Nikolajsen, ADS' Managing Director- Head of Global Markets & Investment Banking, while Mr. Lemand will be reporting to Matteo Legler, ADS Securities’ Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Prior to working at ADS Securities, Mr. Vasques has held multiple senior level roles in the financial services industry, including stints as the Head of Credit Trading & Sales at SHUAA Capital psc, Head of Credit Trading and Sales at EFG-Hermes, and similar roles at Troika Dialog, and ABN AMRO Bank, dating back to 1991, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.

According to Matteo Legler, ADS Securities’ Chief Operating Officer (COO): “For us to truly realize the enormous potential of our Global Markets and Asset & Wealth Management business, it is critical we empower high-calibre, seasoned executives to run it. Both Ryan and Marcelo possess the unique combination of vision and leadership that will allow them to take our business to the next level.”
