Empire FX hires Pepperstone’s Africa Chief as Nairobi COO
Empire FX, a Capital Markets Authority-licensed retail forex and CFD broker based in Kenya, appointed Sahil Patel as Chief Operating Officer. He will be based in Nairobi and oversee the broker’s global operations as it looks to expand across Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Patel previously spent more than six years at Pepperstone, where he helped build the Australian broker’s Africa business, led its Kenya entity from 2020 and most recently served as Head of Africa. The hire comes amid intensifying competition for Kenyan retail traders from international brokers such as Capital.com and XM.

N26 taps OLB Operations Chief in Berlin reset
At the same time, N26 named Aytac Aydin from Oldenburgische Landesbank (OLB) as chief operating officer and managing director of N26 SE and N26 Bank SE. He will join alongside an expanded role for current Chief Business Officer Daniel Lappas and a new reporting structure that puts the country heads for Spain, Italy and France directly under Chief Executive Officer Mike Dargan.
Aydin spent more than four years at OLB, most recently as chief operating officer and head of retail and SME banking, where he sat on the management board and worked on the bank’s sale to TARGO Deutschland GmbH. At N26, he will oversee technology, operations and legal functions.

Former INFINOX LATAM Chief Daniele Benez joins 4XC
4XC brought Daniele Benez as Head of Brand Growth for Latin America. The role brings in an FX and CFDs specialist with several years of experience in the region, across both commercial and growth-focused positions. Benez previously held roles at brokers including BDSwiss, INFINOX, Vantage, Doo Prime and Hantec Markets.
In her new position at 4XC, she will focus on increasing brand awareness and expanding client reach across Latin America, drawing on her experience as Regional Manager LATAM at INFINOX, where she helped grow the broker’s presence in key markets.

Taurex reinstates former CEO
Elsewhere, Taurex named Matthew Wright as its Global CEO, bringing him back to a role he left four years ago. The move comes after Wright spent the past year as a Non-Executive Director at the CFD broker. In his annoucement, he said that the Board asked him to return to lead the global business with immediate effect.
Wright first rejoined Taurex as a Non-Executive Director in July, a part-time position he announced in March in which he sat on the board and contributed to oversight and strategy. He has held several senior roles in the brokerage sector and most recently served as Group COO at Exinity between 2023 and 2025.

Pepperstone UK’s ex-CEO joins OKX
Lastly, OKX appointed Iain Rogers as Head of Compliance for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He brings more than 15 years of financial services experience across CFD brokerage and digital asset firms to the role.
Rogers will oversee compliance strategy for OKX across the EMEA region. He will also manage country-level compliance teams and money laundering reporting officers as crypto firms face increasing regulatory scrutiny.
