BDSwiss Onboards New Africa Business Development Head

BDSwiss has appointed Christos Fylaktou as the Regional Head of Business Development for its African operations. According to his Linkedin profile, Fylaktou is based in the broker's Cyprus office.

Fylaktou has been in financial services since 2014. He entered the industry as an Account Manager at IronFX, another FX/CFDs broker. He joined the role at BDSwiss from HFM (previously known as HotForex), the unified brand name of the HF Markets Group. He joined the Cyprus offices of HF Markets.

FCA Gets New Deputy Chair

The Boards of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) have two new deputy chairs, Margaret Obi and Edward Sparrow.

The new additions are part of the FCA's Regulatory Decisions Committee (RDC) and the PSR's Enforcement Decisions Committee (EDC). They will be responsible for making certain regulatory decisions. The appointments came ahead of the exit of two existing deputy chairs, Elizabeth France and John Hull.

"Margaret and Edward bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience, including their experience of chairing and decision-making, which will enhance the capability and effectiveness of the RDC and EDC," said Tim Parkes, the Chair of the RDC and EDC.

"By the time they stand down, Elizabeth and John together will have provided nearly 16 years’ outstanding service as Deputy Chairs and I would like to thank them both for their commitment to the work of the committees."

Delta Capita Names New APAC Head

Delta Capita, the financial services unit of Prytek, announced the appointment of Julian Chesser as its new Regional Head of APAC.

Based in Singapore, Chesser will be responsible for leading all aspects of the business across the APAC region and developing our regional strategy for future business expansion. He brings 25 years of industry experience to the new role.

"Julian's extensive experience of capital markets infrastructure and the Asia region will be critical as we grow existing business lines and deploy capital to acquire non-strategic client technology assets and targeted M&A opportunities," said Joe Channer, the CEO of Delta Capita.

Euronext Reappoints Stéphane Boujnah as Chairman/CEO

Stéphane Boujnah has been reappointed as the Chairman of the Managing Board of Euronext, a pan-European stock exchange group, extending his tenure to 2027. Additionally, he was re-elected as the CEO during the group’s Annual General Meeting, winning 98.21% of the votes in his favour.

Boujnah first became the Chairman and CEO in 2015 and contributed significantly to increasing the stock exchange group’s operating performance and diversification.

“He has realized an ambitious expansion strategy to establish Euronext as Europe's leading market infrastructure,” Euronext said in a statement released on Wednesday. “As a result, Euronext now manages activities across the entire capital markets value chain, operating under a highly scalable and diversified model.”

FXSpotStream Onboards New Liquidity Management Head

FXSpotStream, a provider of multibank FX aggregation services for spot FX trading, has strengthened its executive team with the latest appointment of Jeremy Rose as the Senior Vice President and Head of Liquidity Management. According to his Linkedin profile, he joined the company in May and is based in London.

FXSpotStream is a bank-owned consortium established in 2011. Along with its services in the institutional spot forex market, the platform has extended services in the derivatives market. In addition, it launched the much-anticipated support for FX Algos and Allocations over its API, thus expanding its services.

ATFX Gets New Country Manager in Colombia

ATFX, a forex and CFDs broker, is strengthening its presence in Latin America with the appointment of Irvin Ortega Flores as the Country Manager of Colombia. The appointment was an internal promotion.

Flores joined the Mexico offices of the broker in June 2020 as a Sales Accounting Manager and then became the IB Sales Account Manager.

Earlier this year, ATFX hired Gonzalo Canete, a former executive at Swissquote, as its Global Chief Market Strategist. The UK unit of the broker also tapped Chris James, a former member of State Street's Currenex's global liquidity management team, to head its liquidity management team.

FP Markets, Invast Global Get New Heads; Exness, CGS-CIMB See Exit

The trading industry saw a number of executive moves on Monday as new leaders take up roles at FP Markets and Invast Global while Exness and CGS-CIMB saw departmental seniors leave. At the same time that Kim Reilly was promoted to Head of Quality Assurance and Customer Journeys at FP Markets, Anthia Christodoulou joined Invast Global as the Head of Compliance.

However, Stanislav Bublik and Ben Robson left their roles as Head of Trading Products at Exness and Head of Institutional FX for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at CGS-CIMB Securities, respectively. The executives announced their moves on Monday through LinkedIn.
