Linear Investments has closed a deal with AQX Securities, whereby acquiring its execution business and assets from Aquila Group, according to an AQX statement.
AQX Securities is a UK-based broker and hedge fund platform. The firm offers a variety of multi-asset CSA products, servicing the buy-side with liquidity solutions and independent research solutions. More specifically, AQX Securities’ business caters to several asset classes, including equities, futures, options, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), and fixed income.
Linear Investments’ acquisition of AQX Securities’ assets will help enhance its existing execution-only services, whereby augmenting its scope and latitude across a multitude of asset classes.

According to Paul Kelly, CEO, Linear Investments, in a recent statement on the acquisition, “Linear Investments has experienced steady, organic growth since its inception in 2009. Our acquisition of AQX Securities’ execution business further cements our position as the UK’s leading full-service, boutique prime broker and enhances our multi-asset execution and outsourced trading desk capabilities. AQX’s loyal customer base is a valued asset.”
