Mankoff events continue to shed light on High Frequency Trading in FX

The Mankoff company has been leading the herd in educating and bringing industry professionals together in understanding the dynamics of High Frequency Trading in financial markets and other crucial topics including latency, regulations and technology.
The next event will take place in New York's, Times Square on the tenth of November 2011.
The rise in hedge funds, asset managers and pension funds has been incredible,the take up has primarily been in response to the massive opportunities FX offers. The summer of 2011 has had stronger than expected volatility with the VIX index showcasing above the all important figure of 30 throughout August and September. Among the major currencies, the Swiss franc experienced the biggest gain, strengthening 2.20% versus the dollar and 1.69% against the euro. The yen and euro appreciated 1.39% and 0.50%, respectively, versus the US dollar. For the quarter, the Swiss franc gained 9.64%, the euro rose 1.89% and the yen increased 3.55% versus the dollar.
Since the credit crisis regulators have been looking at the many factors that affected the overhaul of giants like bear Stearns and Lehman Brother, OTC derivatives!
The new Dodd Frank rulings, EU commission and MIFID 2 are issues the industry is facing.
