The trading solutions provider has unveiled the latest beta of its popular MT5 platform.
The focus has been placed on supporting the work of app developers and algo traders.
Finance Magnates
MetaQuotes
has released the MetaTrader 5 platform beta build 4330, introducing new
analytical tools for traders and resources for developers. Developers can use support for the latest ChatGPT model, GPT-4o, which will help
complete code and offer useful tips.
MetaTrader 5 Beta Build
4330: What’s Inside
One of the
key additions to the
MetaTrader 5 web platform is the expanded set of analytical objects.
Traders can now utilize a ruler to measure time and prices, draw various shapes
such as rectangles, ellipses, triangles, and circles, and add labels to their
charts.
The
MetaTrader 5 Client Terminal has undergone various optimizations and bug fixes,
including increased precision in displaying calculation prices, fixed Maximum Favorable
Excursion (MFE) and Maximum Adverse Excursion (MAE) calculations in the trading
report, and improved saving and restoring of economic calendar filtering
settings. The update also addresses issues related to the options board,
position editing dialog, and the application of templates to charts.
On the MQL5
programming language front, the ArrayResize function has been optimized and
accelerated, potentially executing up to 40% faster under certain conditions.
Support for ONNX has been updated, and several bugs related to the MessageBox
function, incomplete initialization of MQL5 programs, and parsing of macros
have been resolved.
“We invite
all traders to join the testing of the new platform version. Experience its
features firsthand and help the developers by reporting any bugs you find. To
update the MetaTrader 5 platform to the new beta build, navigate to Help \
Check Desktop Updates \ Latest Beta Version,” the company commented in the
official post.

The final
build of the MetaTrader 5 platform will be released after the completion of
this beta testing phase.
MetaEditor,
the integrated development environment for MetaTrader 5, has also received an update, including a welcome page. This new feature is designed to assist
both beginners and experienced developers in their journey with algorithmic
trading and application development.
The welcome
page provides easy access to educational materials, language documentation,
books, articles, developer forums, and the code base library. It also
introduces services where developers can apply and monetize their knowledge,
such as the applications market, freelance opportunities, and trading signals.
MetaEditor now offers a "My Sales" report for developers actively selling their applications in the market. This tool provides sales and download
statistics over time, insights into sales geography, and data on top-selling
products based on sales volume and revenue generated.
MetaEditor
has also improved its built-in search functionality, with the top search bar
now exclusively used for searching text within the current document or in local
files. A separate section in the Toolbox is dedicated to global searches
through educational materials and codes. MetaEditor also supports
GPT-4o, the latest ChatGPT model, in Copilot, which can be used to complete code and provide hints.
