The forex industry’s most widely used trading platform, MetaTrader 4, has just received a new upgrade to its existing client terminal build, which has debuted on the MetaQuotes’ Demo server.
The new changes fortify an already existing product that is among the most popular for traders – presently the upgrades are strictly relegated to the MetaTrader 4 client terminal however. The new build targets cloud-hosting implementation and helps users with a streamlined automated panel of trading signals that extends to virtually any external provider or link such as Google finance, among others.

Virtual Hosting Service Plan Specifics
As such, MetaTrader 4 will now utilize a VPS server solution, given the fact that several traders rely on third-party trading signals or active trading robots. While this has been a notable hurdle for the platform, the new offering successfully removes the need for VPS servers with the activation of a virtual hosting cloud service plan – the denominations include a free 6-hour trial, scaling upwards in 1, 3, 6 and 12 month intervals, which ranges from $10 to $100 respectively.

I’m confused if mt4 will still be available as a standalone solution for end users to use on their own computer or server. I wouldn’t fully trust MQ with my EA or indicators and I’m sure many other proprietary traders feel the same way.

I think the use of VPS with MT4 EAs was the worst feature of MT4. Providing a feature allowing users to use Meta quotes cloud to host its EAs. I think this feature will be greatly praised by retail traders heavily depending on algo trading.
