Devexperts has added options-on-futures trading to its brokerage platform, extending its listed derivatives offering in a segment already served by infrastructure providers such as Trading Technologies, CQG and Broadridge.

MetroTrade is the first broker to deploy the new functionality, according to the company. The module allows brokers to add options-on-futures trading without building the underlying functionality themselves, expanding the derivatives capabilities available through Devexperts' brokerage technology.

Devexperts Integrates Multi-Leg Options Trading

The software supports CME-listed options on futures across equity indices, energy and metals, combining an options chain, multi-leg trading and an earnings analyser within MetroTrader's existing single-account interface.

MetroTrade is the first Devexperts client to deploy the functionality, giving its retail customers access to CME-listed futures and options on futures through the broker's web and mobile platform.

Devexperts developed the solution together with MetroTrade, its existing technology partner. According to MetroTrade President David Klotz, the companies built the supporting infrastructure "from the ground up".

Listed Derivatives Infrastructure

Options-on-futures support is already available from established listed-derivatives providers including Trading Technologies, CQG and Broadridge.

The MetroTrade deployment extends Devexperts' own platform into the same product category with its first live implementation.

"The addition of options on futures will provide MetroTrade's traders with the opportunity to execute more advanced trading strategies with greater flexibility," said Jon Light, Senior Director of Product Management at Devexperts.

The deployment gives Devexperts a live reference customer for its options-on-futures offering while expanding the range of listed derivatives available through its brokerage platform.
