Mr. Petit has been involved in a number of ventures since retiring from football in 2004, with a majority of his ambitions and efforts being reserved for charity organisations and similar not-for-profit initiatives. He joins another former marquee athlete, rugby legend Mike Tindall, as UFX’s latest bid to promote its image with well-known sports players.
As its French brand ambassador, Mr. Petit will appear in all the UFX trading advertisements, as well as other marketing campaigns across France and the rest of the world.
According to UFX’s Managing Director Dennis de Jong in a recent statement on the partnership: “We are excited to have a distinguished talent such as Emmanuel Petit joining the UFX family, and we look forward to the countless possibilities such a unique partnership affords us both.”
The deal follows on the heels of other notable deals between FX brokers and football players and clubs as of late, including an accord between Divisa Capital and Watford Football Club earlier this month.
