Seven years later, Anand went on to become the world champion in Chess, a title he held for six years. During this time he beat well-known grandmasters such as Vladimir Kramnik, Veselin Topalov, and Boris Gelfand.

Viswanathan Anand Joins a Team of Brand Ambassadors for InstaForex
According to InstaForex, it is because of all of these achievements and more, that they decided to sponsor Anand, who joins a team of sports ambassadors for the broker. The other sports ambassadors for the company are Ole Einar Bjørndalen a Norwegian winter sports athlete, tennis players Victoria Azarenka and Janko Tipsarević, as well as basketball player Ilona Korstin, among others.
"If you look at chess and Forex, you will find a lot of similarities. Both activities are about earning a living by pure intellect, both give you complete freedom on where to live, when to work etc,” continued Anand.
“You can’t work in modern chess without a computer, the same situation is about Forex. In the currency market you need to forecast currency movements, in chess you need to forecast moves of your opponents. So I was not surprised to find out that there are many chess players at InstaForex, even the CEO has a rating of 2200. So, I’m truly looking forward to start working with InstaForex," he added.
