eToro has just announced the on-boarding of a new resident Cybersecurity expert. His name is Buky Carmelli, and he’s an ex-officer in the Israeli Defence Forces’ elite tech units. With over 30 years of experience in leading large research and technological development teams, the new addition to eToro’s team comes at a critical time for the firm.

After securing a major round of financing earlier this year, eToro has committed to expanding its team globally. The brokerage’s venture into the US crypto-sphere and its commitment to open a new subsidiary in Gibraltar, the company last week announced a sponsorship deal with Eintracht Frankfurt.

With the rapid growth of the firm in the aftermath of the cryptocurrency boom, where eToro has been an early adopter, the company’s cybersecurity needs are taking center stage. Today’s announcement is confirming the commitment of eToro to invest in the safety of its clients’ assets.
