DataCash and Shopgate come together to offer fast and secure mobile payments for UK merchants

UK-based payment service provider DataCash, a subsidiary of MasterCard and Shopgate, which specializes in mobile solutions for online stores, have come together to offer their combined services to UK merchants.

Shopgate’s solutions include optimized mobile websites, and unique apps that link offline marketing material to their online stores. They also offer mobile app stores with customization possibilities, like customizable push notifications, and coupon options to keep customers aware of offers and deals available. DataCash offers their industry-leading payment solutions with fast and secure checkouts. In addition to that, UK merchants who use Shopgate will also benefit from DataCash’s class leading Fraud and Risk Management system, Gatekeeper 2.0.

“Our team of experts - based in multiple locations globally - dedicates its hearts and minds to ensuring that we offer the best mobile shopping experience in the world. The collaboration will further enhance our offering in the UK market and we look forward to working with DataCash on all future projects,” Filipe da Silva Araujo, VP of UK Business Development for Shopgate added on the joint venture.

Head of Partner Channel at DataCash, Simone Levy also added on the partnership, “Mobile commerce is quite different from traditional eCommerce, as mobile phones impose very different constraints than desktop computers. It is important for us to work with only the finest specialists in this field and ensure that retailers can easily maximize their revenue through the ever growing mCommerce market.”

From the amount of news we are publishing about partnerships and innovations in the mobile payment industry, this is not a passing trend or something that will happen in the near future, rather, we can see that it is already here.

Mobile Payments are lifting off and are already a strong aspect of the online payment industry, something we need to pay attention to today
