JPMorgan Trading Tech Veteran Jumps to Broadridge

Gautam will take on the role of Global Head of Trading Platforms—Product Management within Broadridge's Trading & Connectivity Solutions division. He'll work out of London and report to Brian Pomraning, the unit's Chief Product Officer.

The hire comes as Broadridge looks to expand its trading technology offerings beyond its traditional back-office services. Gautam spent over 15 years at JPMorgan, where he most recently served as executive director and led the bank's cash equities product team for global trading platforms.

Professional Experience

During his time at the Wall Street giant, Gautam oversaw major technology overhauls that touched everything from client onboarding to trade execution and regulatory compliance. His LinkedIn profile shows he worked on expanding JPMorgan's trading capabilities into emerging markets including South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.

Gautam's background includes earlier stints at Credit Suisse and consulting firm Cognizant. He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and is a CFA charterholder.

The executive said he sees an opportunity to help Broadridge's clients navigate increasingly complex trading environments. “Clients today need trading platforms that not only deliver low-latency cross-channel execution and adaptability but also respond to ongoing regulatory and structural changes,” Gautam said.

Broadridge Hunts for Top Talent

Broadridge has been on a hiring spree for its trading business, bringing on several executives including Ken MacHarg, Anand Chintala, Ian Williams, Yewande Sobola and Tom Gallo in recent months. The company is trying to position itself as a bigger player in front-office trading technology, an area dominated by vendors like Bloomberg and Refinitiv.

FinanceMagnates.com also reported in the meantime that the company appointed Larry Conover as VP and Special Advisor for Proxy & Corporate Actions. He brings nearly three decades of experience from Fidelity Investments and BNY Pershing.
