Pepperstone made headlines earlier this year amidst circulating rumors that they were a contender to secure Alpari UK’s remaining business, following a bitter insolvency in January. In addition, October of last year saw the restructuring of select services, namely Japan, following the intrepid arrival of an IPO.

Mr. Horner joins Pepperstone from AxiTrader, having worked in a number of senior roles since 2009. These included, senior sales trader, head of derivative sales trading, sales and marketing manager and most recently sales manager.

According to Owen Kerr, Director of Pepperstone in an exclusive statement with Forex Magnates on the appointment, "Phil is the most talented FX executive in Australia and we are excited to have him part of the Pepperstone team."

“I am very much excited about the future working at Pepperstone. I've watched them from afar over the years grow exceptionally fast and am now excited about helping them grow using my own past experience in building Sales, Customer Service & Marketing teams and accompanying processes in place. These will help fuel our next phase of growth. Pepperstone's high-performance culture will easily see us extend our lead as Australia's largest FX broker and expand into new markets faster than ever before," added Mr. Horner in an accompanying statement.
