Match-Prime Liquidity promoted Vladimiros Spanos to chief operating officer today (Monday), the company said. He moves from Match-Trade Technologies after almost four years.
Spanos will oversee operations at the Cyprus-regulated liquidity provider, with a remit covering pricing, execution, risk management and client liquidity configurations. He has worked in trading and brokerage technology since joining Marex Spectron as a derivatives trader in 2012.
Spanos has worked in broker operations and trading technology. Before joining Match-Trade as Head of Business Development in October 2022, he held COO positions at Exclusive Capital and XValley Technologies.
From Derivatives Trading to Brokerage Operations
Spanos traded futures at Marex Spectron in London from 2012 to 2014, according to his LinkedIn profile. He later moved into technical support and operations at XValley Technologies, serving as COO from December 2018 to February 2020.
He then spent more than two years at Exclusive Capital, first as Operations Manager and later as COO.
"Trading on order flow taught me to see liquidity as a whole picture," Spanos said. He added that pricing and market depth need to be considered alongside execution quality, technology, risk controls and the movement of client funds.

At Match-Trade, Spanos led business development across its brokerage technology and liquidity offering. His public profile lists the new Match-Prime position from August 2026, while Match-Trade's team page still showed his previous title when checked Monday.
Another Internal Promotion Across the Group
The appointment continues a series of internal leadership changes across Match-Trade and Match-Prime. In July, Match-Trade promoted Przemyslaw Wojtyna to its newly created chief commercial officer role, combining sales and marketing oversight.
Match-Prime made a similar cross-company appointment in 2024, when Michael Nichols moved from Match-Trade's sales division to become the liquidity provider's chief commercial officer. Match-Trade also placed Serhii Poplavskyi in charge of Match-Trader earlier this year.
"The strongest liquidity relationships are built on both sides understanding each other's business," Match-Prime CEO Andreas C. Kapsos said.
Match-Prime said Spanos will use data from its dealing and risk systems to identify changes in pricing, execution and client liquidity setups. No operating targets were disclosed.
CySEC-Regulated Liquidity Business
Match-Prime is a brand of MTG Liquidity Ltd. The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) lists the legal entity as a Cyprus investment firm under license 390/20.
The authorization covers order reception and transmission, execution on behalf of clients and dealing on own account for specified financial instruments.
Match-Prime serves professional clients and licensed entities on a prime-of-prime basis. It says its offering covers more than 2,000 instruments across seven asset classes, supported by technology developed by Match-Trade Technologies.
In June, Match-Prime introduced 24/7 CFDs on gold, silver, oil and US equity indices. The products use existing MT4, MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader and FIX API connections.
MTG Liquidity received its CySEC license in October 2020. The register lists offices in Nicosia and Limassol.
