Leading provider of financial information services with over 4200 staff across 13 countries, Markit, listed on Nasdaq under ticker MRKT, has today announced the appointment of Frank Dos Santos as head of North America Business Strategy for the firm Fixed Income Pricing division, as per a company statement.
“Frank’s extensive experience and knowledge of bond evaluations will drive the continued rapid expansion of our fixed income pricing business.”
Mr. Dos Santos joins from Standard and Poor’s where he’s worked for 13 years – as per the Markit update – and most recently served as global head of oversight, methodologies and analytical excellence for Securities Evaluations, and whose career in finance spans nearly three decades.
Last month Markit reported solid first quarter revenues for 2015 amid challenging market conditions, and as per coverage by Finance Magnates.

Markit’s fixed income pricing service supports risk management, price verification and compliance and trading workflows by providing a number of solutions including independent pricing, transparency and liquidity data for fixed income instruments.
The service that Mr. Dos Santos is joining at Markit has over 100 fixed income experts and serves daily coverage of 2.5 million instruments through its fixed income related services including in including municipal bonds, corporate and sovereign bonds, securitised products, bank loans and CDS.
Departs Standard and Poor’s
Mr. Dos Santos studied at Iona college in New York and worked for JJ Kenny in the early 90’s before joining Merrill Lynch as a VP from 1998-2002, and then joined Citibank for 2 years as SVP before joining Standard and Poor’s, as per a Linkedin profile description.
