Kim will lead business development across Asia, focusing on expanding institutional relationships and identifying global market opportunities.
His background spans roles at prominent firms, including iSAM Securities, Sucden Financial, and LMAX Group.
ACY Securities boosted its institutional arm, ACY
Connect, by appointing seasoned FX professional Phil Kim as Director of
Institutional Sales for Asia. Based in Hong Kong, Kim brings nearly two decades of
experience to the role. According to the official announcement, he will lead
business development efforts across the region.
Expanding ACY Connect’s Institutional Reach
Kim will oversee initiatives to cultivate new
institutional relationships and identify opportunities within the global
market. Reporting directly to ACY Securities' CEO, Jimmy Ye, he will reportedly work closely with the entire ACY Connect team to align sales
strategies with the company’s expansion goals.
Phil Kim
Kim’s career in financial markets spans more than 19
years. Previously, he led institutional sales efforts in the Asia-Pacific
region for firms such as ISAM Securities, Sucden Financial, and LMAX Group.
Commenting about the appointment, Ye said: “Kim’s extensive experience and proven track record in institutional sales within the FX industry make him an invaluable addition as we continue to expand our global footprint. Phil's expertise will be instrumental in driving our business development efforts in Asia, and we look forward to the contributions he will bring to our organization.”
Before relocating to Hong Kong in 2011, Kim was Vice President of FXCMPro at its New York headquarters. ACY Securities welcomed Kim’s experience as a strong
asset for ACY Connect, particularly as the firm seeks to boost
trading solutions for institutional clients, including banks, hedge funds, and
brokers.
Industry Experience

“I am thrilled to be joining ACY Group, which has
established itself as a very successful and well-respected name in the
financial services industry. Furthermore, I look forward to growing the ACY
Connect institutional offering and client base globally,” Kim said.
This month, the brokerage firm acquired Ingot Brokers South Africa. The agreement now grants the firm the approval to operate under
the Financial Sector Conduct Authority in South Africa. ACY Securities has been exploring
acquisition deals in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Europe. It also launched a live copy trading feature in April to boost user services.
