Juventus, a major Italian football team, announced on Tuesday that it arranged a deal with Bitget, an Asian cryptocurrency Exchange , becoming its first sleeve partnership. According to the football club’s website, people will see Bitget’s logo’s debut on Juventus’ sleeves during its match on Wednesday against Chelsea in the Champions League.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Bitget as the first Juventus Sleeve Partner and help them increase their awareness across our fanbase worldwide. We will support the Partner’s international growth path by leveraging the mutual desire to address an increasingly broad audience,” Giorgio Ricci, Chief Revenue Officer of Juventus, commented. The Singapore-based exchange has an average daily trading volume of $5.6 billion, and such a partnership was brokered by IMG, although financial details were not disclosed.

However, James Lee, Global Strategy Officer at Bitget, said: “Bitget has been looking for outstanding partners from the sports world and game community. Juventus has been fighting hard in the past century, demonstrating the fair competitive spirit that is expected in sports. The partnership will help Bitget better enhance our international awareness.”

This year, the cryptocurrency industry has been heavily active with sports sponsorships, with exchanges diversifying their advertisement portfolios across different fronts. For example, in July, Crypto.com inked a massive sponsorship deal with the top mixed martial arts organization, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). As a result, the Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency company has become the first official fight kit partner of UFC. The multi-year deal will put the branding of Crypto.com on the fight kit items used throughout UFC, including athletes’ apparel.

eToro, a Multi-Asset investment platform, recently announced a partnership with Arsenal Football Club today, one of the most popular football clubs of the English Premier League (EPL). In the last few months, eToro has expanded its sponsorship portfolio significantly through deals with some of the leading names in the English Premier League, including Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
