FIMK says it partners with software firm Koodilehto to broadcast transactions on TV

The technology is being "coined" as "Kryptoradio" and broadcasts updates of the currency's transactions via "any standard Digital TV device and custom software without the requirement of Internet or mobile network connection." FIMK, or FIMKRYPTO, is in its early phases of launch. It was created by Nxt exchange DGEX, but Nxt denies any backing of the coin or partnership with DGEX on the project. One of FIMK's main goals is to "distribute one third of the currency supply as a basic income for the citizens of Finland."

Many "national" cryptos have been launched in the past with similar goals for their respective places of origin. None have seen widespread usage as a currency to purchase goods and services. Most have shed upwards of 99% of their peak values.

As for FIMK, it recently started trading on DGEX. It is currently trading for 320 satoshi ($0.002) per unit. It ranks 40th in market cap, worth $700,000.
